The admission requirements for Indian medical courses are a Higher Level pass in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with Standard Level pass in English. The medical degree courses include MBBS, BDS, B. Pharm., Nursing and BPT. The requirements for an engineering course in India are a Higher Level pass in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with Standard Level English. 55% of the aggregate is taken as the pass percentage for admission to Indian colleges and universities for professional and non-professional courses.Application for admission to degree courses in the humanities/social sciences or basic sciences (physics, chemistry, biology) should be made direct to the universities. The academic year at most Indian universities begins in the first week of June. The IB diploma results will be issued mid-July. Indian nationals with the IB Diploma may compete with other students for the State Level / All India Entrance Examination provided the timing is appropriate.
