IB Diploma Syllabus

The school offers the following courses:

• Group 1 : English
• Group 2 : French ab initio / French B / Tamil B
• Group 3 : Economics / Business Management / Psychology
• Group 4 : Physics / Chemistry / Biology
• Group 5 : Mathematics HL / Mathematics SL / Further Mathematical Studies SL
• Group 6 : Visual Arts

In addition, students are required to take a course in Theory of Knowledge (ToK) - a course which critically analyses knowledge claims from different disciplines. The students are also expected to devote 150 hours during the course period of 2 years in Creativity, Action and Service (CAS). To develop their research skills, the students write a Research Paper (Extended Essay) on a topic of their interest evaluated by external examiners. Experts on the relevant subjects supervise the Extended Essay project under the leadership of the Diploma Programme Coordinator. For more details visit www.ibo.org
